New evidense of AdSense design tests
April 30, 2008Google experimenting with AdSense design
April 18, 2008Today I’ve noticed a black line above 468*60 AdSense block that was installed on one of my site and had the border color set to #FFFFFF:

I’ve seen it just two times. Both of them while browsing my site with Firefox 3.0b5. I guess the new design should intentionally have two black horizontal lines. Because when I’ve scrolled the page a bit, I’ve got the second line where it shouldn’t be.

The same horizontal lines were spotted in the 200*200 two ads block as well. It seems that Google trying to better distinguish AdSense ads from the website content.
How much text content per page
March 12, 2008Many people told me that it should be at least 100 words of the text content per page for the proper SE indexing. I tent to agree with them. But what to do if you can’t put a hundred words on every page on your website for any reason?
There is an easy answer: turn on commenting and make your pages:
- interesting
- questionable
- provocative (well, this is optional)
Let your visitor generate text content for you.
Twitter doesn’t indexed well
February 27, 2008It seams that Google doesn’t likes the Twitter. I’ve just came across the Hilary Clinton’s microblog and searched for several exact phrases from it at Google. With no results. Google doesn’t return any twitter page at the first five pages. That’s strange because Hilary’s microblog should be very trusted with the loads of backlinks.
