What they really want

November 11, 2009

The modern society is divided by the deep gap between freedom and control, or better to say dictate as antonym to freedom. A lot of people in their right mind consider freedom as a root of all evil, putting hopes for a safety and stability on a total control and oppression of civil rights.

It’s easy to think that those who oppose freedom and civil rights are want to be controlled, exploited and enslaved. Nope, this is dangerous fallacy. Actually, they are the ones who want to control, dictate and enslave. They want to be slavers not slaves.

Hemp Helps

September 25, 2008

Hemp (pot/weed) helps. Now it’s officially proven. It helps you to grow up brand new brain cells and become smarter. It helps to treat cancer. It helps in cases of anxiety and depression. And it’s totally prohibited!

Oh, I think I need to smoke a bit before falling into another conspiracy theory.

Placa de George Orwell

Placa de George Orwell

Ironic shot of CCTV warning at the Placa de George Orwell (named after the author of ‘big brother’ concept) in Barcelona, Spain. More photos here and here.

This square was the first in the city to have 24 hour CCTV surveillance.

And, BTW, I have no idea why CCTV surveillance in public places faces so many complaints. Public are public. You are eligible to take pictures of anything and anyone. And anyone and anything are eligible to take pictures of you. Just don’t pick in your nose standing in the middle of the square.

Pleased Muslims

April 2, 2008

Jami, a former Muslim of Iranian origin, told the Netwrek TV show he has decided not to release his cartoon film, The Life of Muhammad, as expected on April 20.

The film would have reportedly shows a sexually aroused prophet. A clip from the film aired on a Dutch television channel last week showed a man said to be the prophet in the company of a 9-year-old wife on their way to a mosque to allegedly deflower his bride.

Jami said Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin has talked to him about repercussions of the film release on social harmony and coexistence in the Netherlands as well as it national interests.

The leaders of the Muslim minority, estimated at nearly one million, welcomed the new development. “I’m pleased that Mr Jami has decided to listen to the minister’s advise. It is a wise decision,” said Tunja.

He was particularly thankful for the government for its swift intervention in the issue. “We were planning a meeting with the justice minister to make it clear that Mr Jami’s film was totally unacceptable and would trigger violence across the world,” the Muslim activists told IOL.

Oh, I forgot! Freedom of Speech is a cancer. Islam is an answer.
